The International Builders’ Show is right around the corner, offering those in attendance plenty of opportunities to network, learn about new products, and more. While there, building professionals can also take advantage of some unique show homes that demonstrate cost-effective building solutions.

Located just outside the Las Vegas Convention Center, attendees can take self-guided tours of four model homes at the Pro Builder Show Village. The homes come from Phoenix-based builder Cavco Homes and Genesis Homes, a brand of Auburn Hills, Mich.-based mobile home manufacturer Champion Homes.

While unique in their own right, each home showcases how to deliver high quality designs without sacrificing price. When exploring the homes, custom building professionals can gain inspiration from their designs, learn more about the products used within the homes, and tap into their potential for use as ADUs.

Cavco Homes Offers Affordable Housing Solutions in a Small Footprint

Cavco Homes' Skye View Model mirrors the aesthetic of a mountainside retreat at a budget-friendly price. The factory-built home consists of two modules totaling 550 square feet of living space.

One module houses the bedroom suite, featuring 14-foot sliding glass doors that maximize natural light and provide indoor-outdoor connectivity. The second module contains the living room, kitchen, and a half-bath, with a breezeway linking the two pods. In addition to the breezeway, stairs ascend from the home's front porch and lead to a rooftop observation deck that helps to make the most of the home's small footprint.

Cavco’s Bungalow model also offers an efficient yet spacious design within a compact 480-square-foot floor plan.

A light, white-wash finished interior along with high ceilings make the home feel larger than its square footage suggests. A loft area with clerestory windows also helps bring natural light to the space, while large bifold doors connect the living room to a porch and create a seamless indoor-outdoor transition.

Champion Homes Delivers on Quality While Keeping Prices at a Minimum

By focusing on strategic layout designs and maximizing functional space, the two models from Genesis Homes deliver on comfort and aesthetic appeal at a fraction of the costs associated with traditonal building.

Spanning 1,426 square feet, Champion Homes' Altitude model is a single-level home with a shed-style roof, recessed entry, and wood-grain cladding accents that provide a contemporary exterior.

Inside, a kitchen features an island with seating for four, stainless steel appliances, and ample pantry space. An open-concept layout also connects the kitchen to the living area, optimizing entertainment space.

Two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a dedicated office space are situated near the entry, while the primary suite—complete with a walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom—is located on the opposite end of the home.

Champion Homes' duplex model also meets the demand for cost-effective housing solutions by maximizing every inch of its 800-square-foot side-by-side units.

Each unit includes two bedrooms and two bathrooms within an open-concept layout. Similar to the altitude model, the primary bedroom features an en-suite bath, while a second full bathroom is conveniently located near the secondary bedroom.
