Architect will use tidal power for new home in South Africa
Turbines will turn sea water into electricity.

Plans for a new home in South Africa include features to use tidal power for generating electricity. The home will be anchored to a coastline and will contain turbines that can turn the energy of breaking waves into electricity. The architect believes that tide-powered homes could become common along coastlines. Some could float completely in the water to better adapt to rising sea levels.
