Homeowners want efficiency, and they're finding that in smart home products.

According to the Smart Home Technology Trends 2024 report from Fixr, which provides home improvement and remodeling insights, automation is the primary reason homeowners choose appliances and other products with smart technology.

Of those surveyed, 80% of housing industry experts agreed that automation was the top trend driving smart technology growth in 2024.

This is because users enjoy the efficiency and ease that comes with being able to control appliances, lighting, entertainment, and temperature controls in their homes. Additionally, 70% of experts say smart security systems—including locks, cameras, alarms, and sensors—have become more sought after by homeowners.
