NAHB's Prestigious Industry Awards Close Monday

The National Association of Home Builders will close nominations for Custom Builder of the Year, Best in American Living Awards, and more, on October 21 at 11:59 pm

Nominations close Monday, October 21 for the National Association of Home Builders' annual awards, honoring the best of the best industry professionals and projects across the country. 

Winners will be honored at the International Builders' Show 2025 in Las Vegas, featured year-long in Pro Builder, Custom Builder, and Pro Remodeler, and promoted by NAHB. Applications can be found at awards.nahb.org

Categories for custom home builders include, but are not limited to:

  • Custom Home Builder of the Year
  • Best in American Living
    • "Best in American Living Awards (BALA), redefining design excellence, is the building industry’s premier residential design award. This year’s BALA Awards will also feature the Multifamily Pillars of the Industry Awards, highlighting innovative developments, financing and design, and superior management and marketing in apartments and condos; Offsite Construction Awards, recognizing the best in building systems; and the Remodeling Awards, recognizing the best in craftsmanship, innovation and excellence in remodeling projects."
    • Custom home categories include: One-of-a-Kind Custom Home (broken into priced ranges); Primary Suite in a Custom Home (broken into priced ranges); ADU; Specialty Room/Project in a Custom Home (broken into priced ranges); On-the-Boards Single-Family Custom Home; Green One-of-a-Kind Custom Home and more.
  • Remodelers Awards (part of Best in American Living Awards)
    • "This year's NAHB Remodeling Awards will be part of the Best in American Living™ Awards (BALA), the building industry’s premier residential design award, which will also feature the Multifamily Pillars of the Industry Awards, highlighting innovative developments, financing and design, and superior management and marketing in apartments and condos; and the Offsite Construction Awards, recognizing the best in building systems.  The NAHB Remodeler of the Year Award recognizes superior business management, exemplary NAHB involvement at all levels and outstanding contributions to the remodeling industry. This award will be presented as part of the BALA at the 2025 International Builders’ Show. The NAHB Remodelers Council of the Year is presented each year to local remodelers councils and individuals whose work at the local level exemplifies the best practices of the remodeling industry. The National Remodeling Hall of Fame honors those who have made a significant and lasting impression in the remodeling field."

  • Professional Women in Building Awards
    • "The NAHB Professional Women in Building Council and Leadership awards and recognition program celebrates local council and individual leadership. NAHB PWB Award winners receive national recognition in NAHB media outlets. NAHB PWB will also provide sample press releases to each council and individual winner to promote their award-winning status so they can share their accomplishments with local media and news outlets. Winning entries are featured in Building Women magazine circulated to NAHB Professional Women in Building members."
    • Categories include: Woman of the Year, Professional Women in Building Councils of the Year, Professional Women in Building Member of the Year
  • The Young Professional Awards
    • "The NAHB Young Professional Awards recognize young building industry professionals under the age of 45 who propel their careers forward; advance in all three levels of the NAHB Federation; advocate for the home building industry; engage with their peers; and establish themselves as exceptional members of their communities.
